Elke Wouters has written about Belgian gambling sites since 2018 and tests every operator personally with a preference for the maths behind bonuses. Works from Leuven.
We are paid through affiliate links; that does not change what the review says. If the licence is missing, it says so, fee or no fee.
How we test. we create a player account ourselves, start with a deposit of our own money, pull the money out and time the whole route. The licence check happens at the source, not at the operator and read the bonus terms line by line.

What the law imposes
On player protection, Belgium sits more tightly than the Netherlands or France with effects you cannot route around. The standard limit runs to €200 per week per site.
EPIS is the Gaming Commission's central exclusion system: whoever registers is barred everywhere immediately, online as well as offline. The request goes through the regulator itself. For casino, gaming hall and betting the bar has been 21 since September 2024; only the National Lottery stays at 18. A trial account falls under it too.
